Lavon Drive Baptist Church has been reaching the Garland area with the Gospel of Christ since 1961 and stands today as a beacon of light among a people who need to know the saving grace of Jesus.  Our mission is to be an Acts 1:8 church: to be God's witnesses "in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." 

The Lord has allowed us to have some incredible outreach ministries at Lavon Drive including:

• · Bus Ministry: 20+ school buses sent out every Sunday to bring kids to church
• · Global Focus Ministry: Numerous mission trips and local outreaches, including witnessing on the DART Rail, going out to the abortion clinics, meeting troops at the airport, and many others
• · Vacation Bible School:  Our VBS annually reaches over 1000 children with the Gospel
• · Concerts and Special events: Numerous concerts and special events draw people from every walk of life to be enriched and inspired by the power of the Holy Spirit.
• · Garland Christian Academy: One the best values in the metroplex, with a complete K4 - 12, accredited program. GCA has been a ministry of Lavon Drive since it was founded in 1975. www.garlandchristian.com
